We all heard of strange yet interesting stories about different places. Of course, this implicates haunted places or places where strange unexplanable things happen. I'm always curious when I hear about something new and I sometime tell myself I surely would enjoy doing my own little investigations

So of course, like many people here, my dream is to go to Japan someday. (I really hope it will be soon ) I then decided to start this thread with sharing with you this very mysterious forest, the one that lies at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, Aokigahara (Sea of Trees)

It is a very large and dense forest of 35km2. So dense when you are walking in it, you can't really see the sky, just some rays of sun through the trees. It is said to be a very quiet and disturbing place where you can get lost in craziness. Some trees are twisted and their roots are almost all out of the ground, as if they would start to walk anytime.

Of course, since it is the second most popular place in this world for suicide, there are many ghost stories about it too. Some say they have been followed by a``yurei`` here and there (dead person stuck between our world and the other)

When I go to Japan myself, I promise myself to go there. There are guides who can make you explore a part of this forest and some trails they made for you to follow and make sure you don't get lost in it. When the trail ends, they warn you not to trespass else you might get lost because most GPS don't work from there and further. Many people are found missing each year because they got lost in Aokigahara.

So of course, there are a lot more to read about the facts and legends of Aokihagara and if it is something that interest you, you will find a lot of informations about it on the net.

For those of you who are sensible with ghost, death and suicide issues, I recommend you not to click on the following websites.

I heard about this on that horror website where someone did a list of places horror games should feature XD.

If I ever go to Japan, I will definitely visit this place, it sounds so interesting and would make a pretty good story to tell!
